The founder of The Dead Goat Coffee would hike and canoe with his companions deep in the northern most parts of Minnesota. It's said that when he snores the trees shake and pine needles rain on the forest floor. After long nights, the coffee was the only thing that kept them going. Legend has it that the noise is such that it sounds like a goat dying. From that moment on, The Dead Goat was born.
